Andrew Yule & Company Limited has won the prestigious `SCOPE’ Award for Excellence and Outstanding Contribution – Turnaround Category for 2008-09. `SCOPE’, Standing Conference of Public Enterprises, is an apex body of Public Enterprises. Selection of this prestigious award is based on stringent criteria devised and evaluated by International Management Institute (IMI) and a panel of eminent persons as Jury chaired by Justice P.N.Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India and participated by Dr. Abid Hussain, former Ambassador of India to U.S.A., Dr. Nitish Sengupta, Chairman, BRPSE and Mr. Moosa Raza, former Secretary to Government of India.

Dr. Manmohan Singh, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, handed over the Trophy and a certificate to Mr. Kallol Datta on 15th December, 2010 at a ceremony held in the Plenary Hall of Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Congratulating Shri Datta, Hon’ble Prime Minister said, `you have brought back the past glory of Andrew Yule Company’.
